We had roasted chicken with steamed asparagus and corn bread. I used some seasoning salt and a few other seasonings on the asparagus to spice it up a bit. DH hates asparagus, but he declared this "not bad."

I deboned the rest of the chicken and plan to make some chicken salad in a day or two.

I'm making the creamy mushroom soup a-la Cooks illustrated that I'm supposed to review.
The only thing is, I forgot about the Madeira. It does say that brandy or sherry can be substituted, so I'll do that.
I hope it's good, cause I'm making enough to serve 6-8! There are only 2 of us in the house. I have hungry neighbors :D
