Hi everyone! I am brand new here as of today. My name is Diane I have a passion for cooking and am learning to bake.
I grew up in So. Ca. and moved to Las Vegas in 1978. I've worked in some of the biggest casinos here. I began having trouble with my feet and ended up having to go on permanent disability. So I'm "retired" now. I've been married to my sweetheart for almost 20 years now. I have no children, but I do have a furry, 4-legged feline alarm clock named Martini! She was terribly abused. We have chains of pet stores here and I adopted her from one of them. She was terrified of everything when I got her, and I must say that while she's still basically the same, she has her moments. She doesn't like to be picked up, but she's beginning to tolerate me! I love animals, sometimes they're better than people! lol lol It's nice to be here, and I can't wait to post some of my recipes here and to get to know all of you. |

Hi Diane, and welcome aboard! I do live in LA, but not the one in Southern California. It’s Lower Alabama and yes, the folks down here refer to it as LA.
Looking forward to seeing some of your recipes. I’ve posted several, and I guess you would say that most have a southern flair. Looking to see what may be different from the west coast or Los Vegas. |
