I just received a new 7 quart Dutch Oven that I purchased for cooking in our outdoor wood burning oven. It's getting a lot cold outside to be cooking so I tested the Dutch Oven with a slow cooked piece of chuck in our conventional inside oven. The pot roast was incredible especially the sauce I made from the veggies and brown stock with a little bit of cream.

It's one of my "what's on hand" recipes that I make up by cleaning out "stuff" in the refrigerator but I am always looking for more great, family secret pot roast recipes.
