Who Wouldn't Love 125 Simple and Delicious Italian Recipes?
It's no wonder this is one of the best-selling cookbooks on the market today. Besides Giada's popular cooking show, Everyday Italian, on Food Network, this is a well-thought-out, easy-to-follow, and well-written cookbook. It's great to find a cookbook written for us "everyday" home cooks, with recipes that don't require hours of prep and a staff of ten.
Ms. DeLaurentiis is a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef who has worked in Los Angeles at some excellent restaurants including Wolfgang Puck's Spago, but still likes to cook simple, Italian home-cooked meals. She was born in Rome and is the granddaughter of a very famous movie producer, Dino De Laurentiis, who I once worked for years ago on a movie called King of the Gypsies.
Her new cookbook contains over 100 recipes, gorgeous food photographs, and shortcuts, such as seven different ways to doctor up a basic red sauce.
This is Ms. DeLaurentiis's first cookbook, but I'm sure we will see many more from this young star chef.
