Great Meals From Neighbors After the Birth of Our Second Daughter

Meatballs Recipe
Here are some of the meals that were brought to us by our neighbors just after we brought our second daughter, Maddie, home from the NBICU. My wife and I would like to thank all of you for your most generous and timely help.

Jim and Shelly – Cambozola cheese and crackers, crab crunch(crab casserole) in puff pastries, tomato aspic, and chocolate mousse along with a fine bottle of Sauvignon Blanc wine. It was the first time I ever had tomato aspic but my wife told me her mom made it all the time when she was growing up.

Pete and Debbie – Posole with Salad and Cornbread. Posole is a traditional Mexican dish from the pacific coast region of Jalisco. A thick soup that’s usually made with pork, hominy, garlic, onion, chili peppers, cilantro, and broth. Debbie found this recipe in a great looking cookbook that she just lent me called The Feast of Santa Fe by Huntley Dent.

Sam and Trey – Barbecued ribs, rice, corn muffins and chocolate cake

Debbie M & Nancy H – Chicken Casserole, Salad, and Cheese Cake with Strawberries

Larry and Karen – Spigot and Meatballs and homemade cookies for dessert.

Peter & Pam – Two Homemade Pizzas

Marcy & Perry – Homemade Lasagna with Salad

Susan & Jeff – Raspberry Chicken with salad, Berries with fresh whipped cream for dessert

Sherry & Jim – Chicken, rice, and mushroom casserole with homemade bread, salad and angle food cake with strawberries for dessert.

John & Alyson – Chicken with broccoli, salad, and homemade cookies.

Andy & Elizabeth – Homemade Lasagna
