The best one for you will depend on many factors, including location, programs offered, cost, and scholarship availability. The schools listed below represent some of the best in the state of Florida based on accreditation, reputations, and student reviews.
You may have heard of some of these schools, but others will be new to you. Over 50 schools in Florida have various culinary, baking, hospitality, or restaurant management programs. These schools are a good start but over time I'll list more of them with programs offered and tuition ranges.
Please note, tuition rates, scholarship money, and programs offered can change from year to year. I will keep these numbers updated, but it is important to contact the school for up to date numbers.
Read, Read and Read Some More
One of the best suggestions I have for anyone thinking of going to culinary school or just getting into the restaurant industry is to read everything you can get your hands on. Learn from professional chefs who have worked in the industry and those who have taught in culinary schools. There are many great books available to get you started in your culinary education and I suggest you read as much as possible before making that big decision to make sure this is the right move for you. Below is just a sample of books you might be interested in checking out.
For a much more comprehensive list of books for aspiring culinary, baking and restaurant management students, I suggest checking out my post on books for future culinary students and chefs.

In December of 2006, that daydream turned into a reality, as Chef Andrea and her Husband and Co-Owner, Michael, unlocked the doors of their then, new enterprise! A. Chef’s Cooking Studio was born! It’s been over 10 years and the joy of serving Jacksonville, The Beaches, Southside, Ponte Vedra, Bartram, Saint Augustine and guests from as far as Orlando and Amelia island continues today!
