Great Food Photography For Ideas & Inspiration
I am doing my best to take better photos of the food I cook, and I'll soon have something to show for my effort. I've been reaching out to food photographers and stylists to pick up tips, but some great books are now available for "reluctant" amateur photographers like me.
I'll also start putting together some resources for those interested in taking better photos. You should be able to start by reading my interview with Marc Matsumoto. I picked up some excellent tips about equipment in this interview that I am now using.
I also purchased a book called Food Photography From Snapshots to Great Shots. This book is perfect for those just starting but may be helpful to those with some experience. It discusses photography fundamentals, equipment, lighting, styling, composition, and editing. I'll share more about what I learned from this book as I get into it.
