Prep & Breading

  • Prepare the crocchette exactly as above: mix filling, shape, dip in egg, coat in breadcrumbs.

Air Frying Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil or line it with perforated parchment paper.
  • Place the crocchette in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one.
  • Lightly spray the tops of the crocchette with olive oil (this helps them crisp up).
  • Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Serving Tips

  • Serve immediately for the best crispiness.
    You can drizzle a touch of olive oil or serve with lemon wedges and aioli, just like with the fried version.

Notes

Air Fryer Tip:

Don’t overcrowd the basket—air circulation is key for even crisping.
If you want an extra crunch, you can double-coat the crocchette: egg → breadcrumbs → egg → breadcrumbs.
