- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup pure Canadian maple syrup
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper optional, for heat
Combine Ingredients
Place ketchup, maple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce, mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium saucepan.
Add Seasonings
Stir in smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne (if using). Mix well.
Cook Until Thickened
Reduce heat to low. Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens and flavors meld.
Taste and Adjust
Add more vinegar for tang, more maple syrup for sweetness, or a touch more cayenne for spice.
