Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenned pepper optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts toasted
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries chopped
  • crackers, sliced baguette or vegetables for serving

Instructions

Mix the Base

  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Add the Cheeses

  • Fold in shredded cheddar, Parmesan, chives, and parsley. Mix until evenly combined.

Shape the Cheese Ball

  • Place the mixture on a piece of plastic wrap. Using the wrap, form it into a tight ball.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to firm up.

Add Festive Coating

  • Mix chopped nuts and dried cranberries on a plate.
  • Roll the chilled cheese ball in the mixture until evenly coated.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Place on a serving platter. Surround with crackers, bread slices, or fresh vegetables.
